Purpose
Those who love God because he first loved them must want to know more about Him and His purpose, and the Bible Class is a means of acquiring that knowledge. The Bible class is a study session where we learn more about the Bible. It represents an excellent opportunity to deepen the understanding of God’s message to us in the Bible. It also is designed to ensure that our grounding in the Christian life is kept strong.
The class provides another opportunity for those who love God to speak to one another about the Word of Life (the Bible). It is a place where fellow believers can praise and worship God.
Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another… Malachi 3:16
Subjects
Twice a year a programme is designed for the following six months. The programme ensures there is a good balance of topics and studies. The subjects cover such areas as Bible characters and particular books in the Bible.
Structure of class
The normal structure of the class is as follows:
Opening prayer
Talk on topic
Open forum – discussion between the class members on the topic
Closing prayer
The discussion after the talk is designed to learn more about the topic by discussing and questioning.
Objective of the class
The objective is that the whole ecclesia should “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18), to the glory of God the Father, so as to be ready with united voice to praise the Father and the Son in the Kingdom.
