1 Selective Hearing

Ken Pooley talks about the human trait of Selective Hearing where we only listen to those things which suit us. He asks the question do we only listen to only those parts of God's message we want to hear? He shows that our hearts and ears need to be open to the whole message of God.

Everything is meaningless but God

Lawrence Hugo shows that all the things which we gain in life and all the things we lose in life are meaningless to us. Happiness is not our ultimate goal in life. The true purpose in life is to give glory to God. This is our first goal and we will find that the other things will follow as a result.

6 The inner and outer man

Adrian Dangerfield talks about the inner and outer man. The outer self (man) is what we present to the world - it is our personality and our appearance. The inner self (man) is what we feel in our heart. This is the spiritual and unseen part of us. The spirit of man / the heart of man / the conscience Ė these are all where the treasure is. These are the place where Christ should dwell in us. Adrian points out that we need to develop the inner man as opposed to the outer.
